	Barry Price, a most talented sculptor, has been responsible for creating the entire Tuskers range. He was born in Worcester, worked with Royal Worcester, the famous porcelain company as a ceramic painter and ornamental caster. He also was honored to have produced work for Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, Prince Charles, and Princess Grace of Monaco when he was at Boehm Porcelain of Malvern

The Manufacturing Process
of Country Artists Products

First, an examination is made of the originals to ensure that everything is as near perfect as it can be before the mould is poured from the master model. The moulds must go through a ‘pressure autoclave’ process which ensures that every corner of the mould is filled with the liquid mixture. Once this liquid mix has cured, then a scalpel is used to cut away the flexible rubber and the mould is removed to reveal the wonderful and intricate details of the model.

Quality control is very important and at every stage, stringent checks are carried out so that nothing goes wrong. In this way, we obtain a perfect ‘white’. The fettling process follows, and it is at this point that any minute details which may have been lost are carefully put back. Chairman, Richard Cooper, ensures that all the detail, colour and decoration of every new sculpture has been researched thoroughly prior to commencement of production of all new work.

Next comes the extremely delicate task of hand painting each individual sculpture. Only the finest oil-based paints are used to bring you a finished product that will enhance any home. All the painting is skillfully done by hand.
